19th Century French Napoleon III Boulle Mantel Clock by Baillon à Dunkerqu

This 19th century French Napoleon III Boulle mantel clock by Baillon à Dunkerque features a black tortoiseshell and brass inlaid case with elaborate fire-gilt ormolu mounts including caryatid figures, and a central scene of Apollo in his chariot with cherubs below the dial. This clock embodies the opulent, mythological style of French luxury clockmaking and was made to be the centerpiece of a library or drawing room.

Some areas of inlay are missing and some natural cracking to the tortoiseshell.

lt ticks for 8 days. In working order- we are currently testing it.
