Large Vintage Craven A Enamel Sign Collectors Advertising Signage

This is a fantastic piece of vintage British advertising, featuring the iconic slogan “For your throat’s sake smoke Craven ‘A’” in bold red lettering against a vibrant yellow ground. With its long, narrow shape and wonderfully distressed enamel finish, this striking sign has plenty of character and would make a fabulous statement piece in a vintage-inspired interior or advertising collection.

Craven “A” cigarettes were introduced in Britain in 1921 by the Carreras Tobacco Company, becoming well known for their cork-tipped cigarettes and distinctive advertising. The slogan became synonymous with the brand throughout the 20th century.

The sign dates from around the 1930s–1950s.

Overall, it displays signs of age and use, including scratches, enamel wear and rusting around the edges, all adding to its authentic vintage charm.
